Continence Matters welcomes the appointment of Dr Victoria Chong as Continence GP and Neuromodulation Programmer.

Dr Victoria Chong is available to:

  • Provide patient education regarding Sacral Neuromodulation
  • Educate patients in use of the Patient Controller device
  • Check device function and patient usage
  • Trouble shoot problems related to device function or management
  • Liaise with surgeon closely regarding patient care
  • Make programming changes
  • Perform flow rates and bladder scans were needed
  • Check battery status for device and schedule patients with surgeon for battery replacement
  • Refer patients to surgeon for review as required
  • Arrange X-rays to check lead position if required
  • Schedule patients for lead replacement with the surgeon if required

She is also available to see patients for:

  • Commence, review or adjust bladder medical therapy
  • Provide prescriptions, sick certificates, attendance certificates
  • Apply for government CAPS funding for eligible patients
  • Non-surgical treatments for incontinence and prolapse
  • Pessary fitting and management for prolapse
  • Pelvic Floor Exercise training and education
  • Dietary and behavioural modification for bladder and bowel problems
  • Medical therapy for overactive bladder
  • PTNS office based neuromodulation for overactive bladder
  • Intermittent Self Catheter education
  • Education and troubleshooting for catheter care at home
  • Intravesical instillations for Interstitial Cystitis
  • Recurrent Urinary Tract infections
  • Nocturia, getting up to void at night
  • Bed wetting in adults
  • Continence aids and appliance advice
  • Flow rates
  • Post void residual scan assessment
