Telehealth

TeleHealth consulting is between a patient at a rural location with the GP or nurse present and a specialist using videoconferencing. There are government guidelines and eligibility criteria under the Medicare Benefits Schedule. This practice uses Skype. An ipad with camera and internet access can be used.

Medicare does not allow for telehealth consult with a patient at their home - you have to go to your local doctors consulting rooms.

This only applies to consultations with our specialists and not for the Continence GP or nurse.
